23, 1915 in Canton, China, one of four children in the family, all of whom are now deceased. Together with her husband Edward (deceased), they owned the Chinese Gardens Cafe. At that time it was the only Chinese restaurant in Ventura, a local favorite on Main Street across from San Buenaventura Mission. Grandchildren: Tara (Jeff Turkel), Trent, Tatiana (Roman Rivera), and Trevor Love; Kai Matthew, Nakoa Everly and Malia Rose Senkiw; Andrea (Josh), Monica, Jessica and Kassandra Mendoza; Ashlee Sandefur, Alicia and Samantha Martinez; Great-Great Grandchildren: Jordan and Tiana Cheung; Kenna and Keira Rivera; Tyler Balding. Mrs. Soo Hoo also leaves behind many, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr., Ventura, with burial immediately following at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
