Jean Rudolph

Jean Ernestine Rudolph, a resident of Ventura, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the age of 80, following a sudden illness. She was born in Saddle Mountain, Oklahoma on September 17, 1933 and moved to Ojai, in 1937. Jean graduated from Nordoff High School in 1951, and met and married Robert Rudolph in 1953.

She worked as an Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Ventura, retiring after 24 years. Jean was very active for many years with the Buena Ventura Women’s Golf League. She loved reading and spending time with family and friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her mother and father, Edna and Ernest Fennel, and her husband of 56 years, Robert Rudolph. She is survived by her children, Lynn Quiring, her husband Ken, Doug Rudolph, his wife Denice of Bakersfield, CA, and Karryn Kaprosy of Ventura, CA; brother, Jack Fennel of Red Bluff, CA; and sister, Chris Roe of Ojai, CA; grandchildren, Garrett, Jared, Adam, Therese, Cameron and Erin; great grandchildren, Aidan, Elijah and Elliot, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 2:00 pm, at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, with The Reverend Jim Wells officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
