He moved to Ventura County in 1954 from Nebraska and was a WW II Veteran, serving with the Army. He worked as a superintendent for Kehoe Plastering for many years. He was an avid golfer and a member of Saticoy Senior Men's Golf Club. He also enjoyed wood carving and was a member and an usher at Coastline Bible Church.
Jim was a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor and always available to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years Wanda, children, Sharon Fritch, Jim Jr. and Linda Chase, Angela and Doug Stephens, Bonnie and Gene Marin, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the wonderful care provided by Mariposa Valley Residential Care Facility staff, especially Beda.
A memorial service honoring Jim will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Coastline Bible Church, 426 S. Mills Road, Ventura, California
