Jaime Arizaga

Visitation will be from 6-9PM at Charles Caroll Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 1st. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10AM on Wednesday, August 2nd followed by Military Honors Services at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.

Jaime was born March 1st, 1982, in Ventura, California to Irma and Ismael Arizaga. He graduated from Oxnard High School in 2001 and pursued a career in the Army in April 2002 as an M1 Armor Crewman. In 2006 he met Rachel Fazzini, at his duty station in Fort Lewis, Washington and married her the following year on March 31st, 2007. Two years later, in August 2009, they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl they named Elaina Carolina Arizaga.

During his service in the Army he completed 3 deployments, all in Iraq. He received the following medals: Army Commendation (5th Award), Army Achievement (5th Award), Army Good Conduct (3rd Award), National Defense Service, Global War on Terrorism Service, Iraq Campaign w/ Campaign Star (2nd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Combat Action Badge, Driver & Mechanic Badge w/ Driver-Wheeled Vehicle(s) Clasp. He had an Honorable Discharge after 14 years 10 months and 7 days with the rank of Sargent Jaime Arizaga.

After his career in the Army, he remained in El Paso, Texas where he and Rachel continued to Co-Parent their daughter Elaina. His greatest hobby was chasing the wind on his motorcycle with his fellow Mayhem Street Rider Crew. He was a loving father, brother, and son. He brought joy into everyone’s lives and ALWAYS protected the people he loved. He will be missed dearly in this life. Rest in Peace & Ride in Paradise.

He is survived by his daughter, Elaina Carolina Arizaga, his brothers, Sergio, Eric, & William Arizaga, his parents, Irma & Ismael Arizaga, and his grandparents, Joaquin Arizaga Flores & Maria Transito Godinez. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pablo Flores in 2000 and Maria Auxiliadora Flores Barragan in 2008.
