Helen was born October 17, 1925 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Lyda (Moore) Larkins and Emmett Moore. The Moore family relocated during Helen 's early childhood to Washington State and
then to Casitas Springs. CA.
Helen worked in retail sales and as a manager, retiring from Sears. Helen enjoyed her retired years along with the love of her life, Elmer Eugene "Gene" Kuntzman, her beloved husband of 52 years, whom she married March 30, 1945. Helen and Gene enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas on occasion especially to visit their friends Mickey and Edith Bush, but enjoyed nothing more than being together and with their family in home-sweet-home, Ventura.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Gene, in 1997; by her brother Harold Moore; her beloved sister Norma (Moore) England and Norma's husband Lawrence England; and her brother Bud Moore. Following Gene's death Helen kept very active with family and friends. She enjoyed her daily exercise with the senior walking group at the mall and her weekly games of bingo with dear friend Billie and her Bingo budd ies at McDonald's.
Helen is fondly remembered for her loving, cheery, classy and graceful spirit, her warm smile and hospitality, and for her positive attitude which always encouraged and inspired her family and those around her. She was an incomparable baker of cookies, pies and fudge which she happily baked for her loved ones who delightfully savored each bite of her beautiful and decadent creations.
