Frances Chapman Forsyth, 77, of Ventura, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Frances was born November 7, 1934, in Waverly, Iowa, and had been a resident of Ventura County for 36 years coming from Glendale.
Frances was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was an avid sports fan including the Kings (NHL), Angels (ABL) and the Iowa Hawkeye Football and Basketball teams. Frances also loved live theater, and spending time in her garden.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Scott Morter with their three sons, Brett, Luc and Cole all of Ventura; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Stephanie Forsyth with their children, Bryce, Sabrina, Donovan and Andrew all of El Paso, Texas; sister, Irma Tobey of Apple Valley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Norma and Dillon Cross of Joplin, Missouri as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her son, Scott Edward Forsyth in 2002 and her husband George Edward Forsyth in 2007.
Family services will be held at a later date.
