Erma D. Miller, 96, of Ventura went to heaven on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She was born in Alabama to parents Martha and Eskine Pace. Erma moved to California at an early age, working as a cook in Ventura, then taking a position at the Ventura County Youth Authority as a housekeeper instructor and became a domestic engineer for many years.

She married Alex Saulsberry at a young age, and then remarried James E. Miller who preceded her in death several years ago. Erma was also preceded in death by her Aunt Ada Woodbury.
Erma is survived by her daughter Mrs. Virginia Johnson of Ventura; her devoted granddaughter, Delena and husband Forrest Atkins of Oxnard; granddaughter Ms. Verla May Erwin of Santa Paula; grandsons Leonard Cooper of Ojai, and Kenneth Shehee of Ventura; Stepdaughters Doris Weber and Ann Miller of Memphis; great grandchildren Kimberly Atkins of Simi Valley, Shanna Greer of Bakersfield, Crystal Shehee of Bakersfield, Marcus Cooper Guy of Santa Paula and a host of great-great grandchildren.
