March 28, 1914 – March 13, 2011

Dora Berdean Browning Eaton was born n Pittsburgh, Kansas. She grew up down the street from Pittsburg State University from which she graduated. She taught elementary school for 41 years, both in Kansas and for many years at Blanche Reynolds Elementary School in Ventura.

After retiring she volunteered at the library and as a tutor in the schools and at Project Understanding. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, going as far away as Australia and also was an avid square dancer.

She was preceded in death by her husband William K. Eaton. She is survived by a step-son Dennis Eaton, his wife Day Ann; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Berdean Eaton to Project Understanding, First United Methodist Church, College Methodist Church or the Boys and Girls Club.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr., Ventura. 642-8134.
