"Don" was born on Sept. 8, 1943, in Fordyce, Ark., to Corean Harris and John Coleman. He graduated from Little Rock, Arkansas' Mann High School in 1962 and served on active duty in Korea, securing an honorable discharge at the rank of SP4. Later in life dancing, bowling and music were high on Don's list of "likes" list. Although shy in demeanor in most social settings, he was the gregarious soul on the dance floor.
