David Paul Bartlett, 42, of Ventura, died suddenly in a crash on Highway 126 on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. David was born on November 30, 1969, in Bitburg, Germany, to Philip and Bonnie Bartlett of Newbury Park, but spent most of his childhood in Granada Hills, then Newbury Park. He graduated from Newbury Park High School and Moorpark College. He owned Market Mortgage in Ventura.
David was dearly loved and is survived by his parents, Philip and Bonnie Bartlett; his beloved wife Jennifer and children Kristipher (12) and Emma (7); brothers, Stephen and Scott, sister, Joyce Spencer; grandmother, Venice Shaw; and countless relatives, friends, and associates.
Among his many contributions to the Ventura area community, David has been a volunteer officer of the Santa Paula Police for 8 years, an AYSO referee and a volunteer for many of Kris’s sports teams, and a parent volunteer in Emma’s 2nd grade classroom. He is an active member of the Channel Islands Masonic Lodge #214 F. & A.M. David had served active duty in the United States Army from 1987-1989 and recently rejoined the National Guard.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24th, 2:00 P.M. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
