Ann C. Loe

Ann C. Loe, a wife and mother, left her family and this life on Sunday, February 2, 2014. She was 93. Annabeth Christina Jorgensen was born in Viborg, South Dakota, on the last day of December, 1920. Her arrival was the first daughter for Chris and Marie Jorgensen.

Ann met and married Milton (Pat) Loe, through her best friend, Pat’s sister. Leaving South Dakota in the late 1950’s for warmer climate, the couple, along with their three children, settled in Ventura in 1961, where they started and ran a successful business until their retirement.

Upon retirement, Ann spent her days helping in the office at Trinity Lutheran Church, assisting in various church functions and was quite active in the Old Time Fiddler’s Association in Ojai. Ann and her husband spent many years during the spring and summer at their cabin in South Dakota, enjoying their extended family and friends. She enjoyed all forms of hand work and was a skilled quilter, making many gifts for family and friends.

Ann is survived by her children, Patricia De Fisher (Roy) of Ventura, Ron Loe (Cherry) of Ojai and Alan Loe (Diana) of Ventura; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great granddaughters. She also leaves behind her sister, Evelyn Jensen; two brothers, Waldo and Kenneth Jorgensen all of South Dakota and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Pat; father and mother, Chris and Marie, and her brothers, Donald, Leon and Robert Jorgensen.

The family wishes to thank Dr. William Rajala, Josephine Placencia and Margarita Oliva of Assisted Home Hospice for the quality care given to Ann, and our gratitude also goes to Ann’s daytime caregivers, Eleanor Vega and Margarita McPeak.

A Celebration of Ann’s Life, will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, 2:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 196 North Ashwood Avenue in Ventura, with Pastor Dave Hall officiating.
