Amy Joy Wiggins, a precious soul who touched many people’s lives, took her first steps as Jesus welcomed her home to heaven. Amy was born May 1, 1994 and passed away on March 18, 2012 at the age of 17. She lived her entire life in Ventura where she was loved and cared for her family and many friends at Ventura Missionary Church and Pleasant Valley Bible Church and the dedicated teachers, teacher aides and physical therapists from Easter Seals, Tri-Counties Regional Center, Penfield, De Anza, Boswell and Ventura High School. Amy’s family wishes to thank the many teachers, family, friends and students who brought so much joy and comfort to her life.
Amy’s smile was always encouraging and infectious. Everyone blessed to have known Amy will lovingly remember those smiles and joyful sounds. Amy loved feeling the wind in her hair, riding over bumpy roads, listening to the sound of her parents’ and brothers’ voices, riding the bus to school, being with groups of people at school and church and going on field trips.
Amy is survived by her parents, Rob and Joan Wiggins; her brothers, Jake and Dustin Wiggins; grandparents, Phyllis Wiggins and Joe and Julie Hersey; and many loving aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2012 at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr, Ventura. 642-8134.
