Jolene was a travel agent student of mine from Sept. 1988-May 1989.  She was an enthusiastic student and delightful to have in class.  We all enjoyed her.  Jolene was a great gal...she always had a smile on her face and was upbeat when I was around her.  I am saddened to learn of her passing.  She and Heather and I shared mutual friends, Debra and son.  My prayers and thoughts to David and Heather.

Jolene and I worked together for many years at SCIF. She was a strong, independent, generous and fun-loving spirit.  It’s fitting that I write this on St Patrick’s day as I fondly remember her corn beef and cabbage, not to mention her Christmas cookies and fudge.  
I will miss her stories and our “philosophical” discussions.  

My deepest sympathies go out to David, Heather and all of Jolene’s close friends and family.  Thank you so much for sharing so many great photo memories of Jolene. 


 



Jolene was my older cousin, by 25 days!  At family Christmas parties, whatever present Jolene got, I knew I was getting too.  I remember all of us cousins roaring down the hill in Ojai on an old wagon.  Her dad manned the barbeque. And her mom would wash her hands using a tomato when she was out picking vegetables.  I remember riding bikes all over Ventura, once crashing badly into an end of the road barricade. We plotted against our pesky brothers and shared the angst of growing up together.
I am now far away living in Panama.  But when I walk along the Pacific Ocean, or just view it from my balcony, I will think of it touching Ventura and my cousin’s life.
