Rosemary Barbara Stark, 86, of Venice, Florida died peacefully in Venice, Florida on November 10th, 2024.
She was born in Highland Park, Illinois on June 5th, 1938, to Paul Drack and Alice Baumon Drack. She went by Rosie and was affectionately called “Butchie” by her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Rosie attended Mallinckrodt College in Wilmette, Illinois and worked in the family printing business before retiring with her loving husband, Gunnard, on the West Coast of Florida.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Gunnard Stark, Jr., her older brother, Paul Drack, and her older sister Marge Baracani. She is survived by her two sons, Lawrence (Marie) Stark, and Dale Stark, and her five grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Kayla, Zach, and Sara. She also leaves behind a loving extended family, and many friends from both Illinois and Florida.
Rosie will join Gunnard in their common resting place located at Gulf Pines Memorial Park Cemetery in Englewood, Florida. Services will be private, but donations to Tidewell Hospice in Venice, Florida on behalf of Rosie would be appreciated.
