It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father Lawrence John Condon. Lawrence passed away December 9, 2024, at the age of 79 in Port Charlotte, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 16, 1945 in Joliet, Illinois. He graduated from Joliet Central high school, and retired from Argonne national lab where he worked as captain of security. He also worked as a police officer in Rockdale and Shorewood Illinois. Lawrence was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many fishing trips in Wisconsin and Canada. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife Jeanne (Kubinski); parents Thomas Edward and Mary Bernadine (Mitchell) and sister Virginia (Albert) Allen. Survived by daughters’ Holly (Michael) Witczak, April Rutherford and Jennifer Norman (Shawn Robertson), nine grandchildren Ryan, Rachel, Nolan and Kennedi MacDowell, Megan (Kyle) Sallis, Kylee Rutherford, Kyle and Raice Norman, Seth Robertson, great grandchildren, Mason and Kenzie Sallis. He is also survived by two brothers Thomas and James Condon and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is to be determined at a later date.
