Beatrice “Marge” Oliver, 88, of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Marge was born December 9, 1936 in Syracuse, NY to Frederick and Kathryn Sembach. She was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School. Marge met the love of her life “Eddie” and they married shortly after graduating. Marge and Ed raised four children in Liverpool, NY. Family was everything to Marge. Sundays were “Family Day” and summers were for family vacations. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting, and especially enjoyed camping and boating with her family in the Thousand Islands. When her husband retired, Marge and Ed spent the winters at their home in Ft. Myers, FL and the summers at their Thousand Islands’ home in Alexandria Bay, NY. They had 20 wonderful years of retirement before her husband passed away in 2015 after celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Marge is predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward J. Oliver, son, Edward W. Oliver, grandson, Nolan J. Ladd, granddaughter, Stephanie C. DiMarco, and her sister and brother in law, Richard and Beverly Cizenski.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Catherine A. DiMarco, Christine M. Oliver, Carolyn M. Ladd, grandchildren, Christopher DiMarco, Matthew (Courtney) DiMarco, Meghan (Taron) Johnson, Spencer Ladd, Edward Oliver, Sara Strachan, Tess Oliver, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The Catholic Rite of Committal and Burial will be held at Roosevelt Cemetery, Penneville, NY. Services will be private.
