For his education, Frank attended Columbia Adventist Academy in Battle Ground, graduating in 1956. While going to school, there was a young lady in his class named Anita Swanberg. They didn’t particularly care for each other the first few years, but by their junior year they became an item, dating through the rest of their school careers and eventually marrying November 24, 1957 at the Vancouver Seventh-day Adventist Church.
In the early 1970’s, Frank and a partner began Hayes Cabinets. Frank eventually left the company and in 1991 Frank and partners built , Woodland East Park, which is a manufactured home neighborhood.
Frank was a quiet man who loved many things during his life, most of all his kids and grandkids. They were the light of his life. Besides family, he enjoyed, cars, water and snow skiing, hunting, camping, golfing, on and off road motorcycling, and anything having to do with machines. Mowing grass, cutting firewood, and excavating were things he considered a good time. He loved doing all these things with his kids and grandkids and their friends. Christian education, both formal and by example were a priority to him. Frank was a member of Cedar Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Golf Association.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anita; Daughters, Trudi (Chuck) Kinsman of Battle Ground and Trena (Don) Anderson of Woodland; and grandchildren, Brandon (Natalie) Smith, Aaron (Cara) Smith, Jonathan Kinsman, Joe (Anna) Kinsman, David (Bridgett) Kinsman, Jennifer (Geoff) Lopez, Christopher (Brittney) Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Micah (Michelle) Anderson. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammi Blehm and half brother Howard Holland.
A funeral service for Frank will be held 11:00 AM, Sunday, April 2nd at Cedar Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11111 NE Cedar Creek Rd., Woodland, Washington 98674.
