At the age of 2, Chuck and his family moved to Vancouver, Washington. During WWII, he joined the Army to serve his country. (If you want to mention his first marriage and things he did as a young man, this may be a place to do that). In 1963, Chuck married Cecile, who would be his partner in life for 52 years. He was the owner of Home T.V. and Appliance for many years.
Over the years, Chuck belonged to many organizations. He was a long time member of BPOE (Elks) #823, the American Legion Post #14, The Foresters and several ballroom dance groups. He was a wonderful dancer and the ladies loved to take their turn as his partner in a dance. Besides dancing, Chuck also enjoyed woodworking. He particularly liked making toys for children.
Everyone who knew Chuck, knew him as a reliable and stand-up guy.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Cecile; daughters, Linda Padberg, Bonnie Holden and Debra Hanson; step-children, Robert J. Youngs, Bradley Youngs, and Susan Taylor; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patti Holden.
A memorial service for Chuck will be 1:00pm, Friday, August 28th at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel.
