Carolyn M Neal

Carolyn Jane Monson Neal, dad’s loving wife and our mother passed away on March 31, 2021 in Vancouver, WA. She was born on September 1, 1932 in Salt Lake City Utah to Laurence Christian Monson and Cornelia Diana Fife.

Carolyn loved music and was an excellent pianist. In high school she started teaching piano to other youth and continued to teach as an adult. She loved her family and traveled the country and world. Carolyn was well known for her parties with family, friends and others. She especially enjoyed Empty Nesters and Dinner Groups with her church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a very organized person and had the gift to organize others.

Carolyn Neal was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Salmon Creek Ward in Vancouver, WA.,.

Carolyn was married to John Calvin Neal on June 6, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Carolyn and John have 6 children Craig (wife Debbie) Neal of Vancouver, WA., KaLee (husband Wayne) Harper of Taylorsville, Utah, Larry Neal of Vancouver, WA., David (wife Al) Neal of West Jordon, Utah, Jeff (wife Michelle) Neal of Beaverton, OR, and Barbara (husband Glen) Johnson of Vancouver, WA.

Carolyn and John have 37 Grandchildren, 51 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

She has now gone to be with her parents. Brothers Laurence, Joe, Dan and Bill Monson and sisters Elaine Habenicht and Ruth Haun, who preceded her in death.

Funeral will held at 2:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 10, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held in the Ridgefield Stake Center on April 24, 2021 at 2:00.
