Anita Hetland Manley, age 55, was taken from us Sunday, February 5, 2012. Born in Seattle, Washington in 1956, her birth and her life filled the lives of her proud parents, Doris and Albert Hetland, with joy. Anita was preceded in death by her younger sister, Linda.
Anita lived in Vancouver, Washington with her husband Roch, and their three children; Drew, Rochelle, and Anders. She volunteered in her Children's sports activities, as a cub scout leader, and in many other family centered activities. She regularly volunteered her skills as a registered nurse and diabetes educator at the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington.
Her career as a nurse began at Peace Health South West Hospital in 1989. She worked as a diabetes educator there for many years guiding newly diagnosed clients in managing their type II diabetes. Donations can be made, in memory of Anita, to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, February 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church. 309, West 39th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660-1959.
