Wah Leung Yuen

Wah Leung Yuen "Roland", peacefully passed away on January 20th, 2023 at the age of seventy-three.

Roland was born in Hong Kong on November 7th, 1949. He married Kwai Fong Cheung, "Ivy" in 1973 and had three children: Teron, Aaron, and Fanny. In 1994, he moved to Vancouver in the hope of providing a quality life for his family.

Being the eldest son of the five siblings, Roland chose his career path as a leather craftsman through years of apprenticeship from his father. He dedicated his entire life as a leather craftsman and his skills were widely recognised by his clients, colleagues and friends. He retired at the age of 65, but he never stopped making leathercrafts. He accommodated any request and made any design possible, from a leather vest for himself, purses for his wife and daughter, wallets for his sons, a special modification on his grandsons' backpacks and a special customized guitar bag. Roland was also very enthusiastic about computers and electronics repairs; countless hours were spent in helping the needs of friends and family.

Roland’s funeral ceremony will take place on January 30th at 11:15 a.m. at Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium, followed by a witness cremation.
