One of the great additions to my life moving to BC was getting to know my Uncle Tony as an adult- I’m told we met once  when I was 8. Seeing him again in  my 30s, he immediately endeared himself to me as an exceptionally warm, caring, and unfailingly smiling person. His laugh was infectious and he  loved to tease my dad describing some of their childhood antics over summers in Hong Kong. Though we couldn’t connect often, he seemed to always make time to share wonderful meals and  wonderful conversations with me. Though he will not soon be forgotten, he is truly a shining light that will be sorely missed. 

We have known Tony for over 30 years.

Tony has always been a cheerful, humorous and empathetic leader, no matter at work or as a friend.

Without the caring support from Tony, my landing in Vancouver would not be as memorable and smooth as it was.

We would never forget the fond memories of our holidays in Calgary and Edmonton together …..
We would never forget the good old days watching movies and NBA together at your house most weekends …..
We would never forget all the parties we have had together, no matter when dining out or having you as chef ….. 

My dearest Tony, you have always been such a great brother, you will always be in our thoughts.  Rest In Peace.

I knew Tony for more than 30 years, and had the pleasure of working with him for just over half that time. We slew a lot of dragons together over the years.  And shared a lot of laughs.

Tony was a natural leader…a teacher, a builder. Curious and creative, witty and intelligent, multi-talented… he had that rare ability to make those around him feel they were the best part of his day.
He was, in many ways, a modern Renaissance man.

But above all else, Tony was my friend and he will be missed. Gone too soon.

Tony taught me to think in multiple dimensions. He was patient and considerate. It was a pleasure to work with him. And it was a pleasure beating him at the I.T. putting tournament,  which he took with great good humor.

We have known Tony for most of our life, from college classmate (that’s Karin) to colleague in HSBC to being good friends with his family in Vancouver …..

These days we often think of the moments that we shared in the past. Tony was tall and handsome, graceful and humorous, considerate, caring, hospitable ... 

When we first came to Vancouver, Karin did not know many people nor places. Tony hired her as a contract programmer, gave her the opportunity to make friends, invited us to his house for dinner, and cooked delicious food for us during thanksgiving ...and yes, he was an awesome chef.

Tony, you are such a good friend, we miss you.  You will always be in our hearts. Rest In Peace.
