I am so fortunate to have met Madam Ching Wong. A remarkable lady who exudes kindness and affectionate naturally. The good characters that she undoubtedly passed on to Ed and Margie and the people she equally blessed around her. I already missed her the moment she stepped out of the car when I last saw her. Her family and friends will miss her so much more. Death may be as simple as a change of address. But does not diminish the sadness of our loss. Yet we can keep the hope can give comfort that Madam Ching Wong is there to welcome us when we travel to our eternal place. From me and my family, our condolences and prayers to her family and friends.

How deeply you will be missed.

hi po po, i just wanted to say how great of a grandmother as well as a great grandmother you were to all of us... from the days we always gathered at your place to eat dumplings and shrimp chips that u freshly made and the many dinners we had at your place.  You always put a smile on our faces even though we sometimes had to "guess" what the both of us were saying as i always spoke english to you and you always spoke chinese back to me :) we both knew that whatever was being said was a positive thing!

You were always smiling and enjoyed going to dim sum with us, watching Nickolas and Alyssa eat seemed to make you happy!

These past few years I know how difficult it may have been for you, however you were always very strong and were always very positive... you were a hard working lady, and always in good spirits.. i don't think i remember a time at all where i have seen u upset or angry!.. 

I am happy you were able to enjoy some time with your only great grandchildren and see them grow up for the first part of their lives, they are very lucky to have you and to have spent that time with you.

Everytime i step foot into the casino, it makes me think of all the times u insisted that we go and play! Playing the pea wheel with you at the PNE was always fun because with our luck you and I always won and came out on top :) 

I know you are at peace and there is no more pain and suffering, so enjoy your time with gon gon and know that we will all be ok, and one day we will all be together again :)

Hi Yin Yin,

Today we saw you for the final time and it has weighed heavily on our hearts...Saying goodbye is such a difficult thing.  It makes me reflect on life and view things from new perspectives.  As I listened to your obituary today, I was reminded of how hard you worked and what hardships you must have endured in order to sustain a good life for yourself and for all of us.  Our generation so often takes things for granted, and today I was reminded of just how lucky I am.  Thank you for paving the way for our family.

Thank you for loving all of us no matter what we had going on.  We will miss your company, your sweet smile, your thoughtfulness, and your one of a kind "grandma-ness".  Although there was the language barrier, I was always reassured by you that whatever you were saying, or whatever I was saying-we understood that it was something nice and good.  All of that was interpreted by you smiling:-) 

We have enjoyed spending time with you, especially the funny conversations of us using what few Chinese words we know, and then you speaking in full Chinese back to us.  All the guessing, and Tiago pretending to know exactly what you were saying, made into some pretty funny times Yin Yin.  Tiago will always remember you telling him that he speaks better Chinese than me.  You're probably right! We will miss laughing with you...

Although saying goodbye to you today was very hard, I am comforted by knowing that you are going to be with Yeh Yeh soon, if not already.  You have been floating in and out of many of my dreams these past few weeks, and I hope that I'll continue to see you there when you have time.  You are always happy, warm, and vibrant there.

No more pain YinYin...It's time to let go so that you can be free.  You've done more than your work here, and now it's time for us to take care of ourselves.

I am one of the grand daughters of Po-Po's.

You will truly be very missed by me Po-Po.  I will never forget all the memories we shared together, including going to the casinos together and you always taking me out for dim sum and giving me money so I could go buy bubble tea or candy.  I wrote this poem for you and I know you will hear it when I read it to you :)  I hope you like it because everything I say in it is all very true about you

Remembrance is a golden chain
Memories, we often obtain
To love and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart


She was truly one of a kind
One that nobody else could ever find
Always thinking about the rest
But surely, she deserved the best

 
To give was more important than to receive
That is what she strongly believed
Generosity, love and care
