Steven Gok Chu Wong

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our father who passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023 at Vancouver General Hospital. Steven had been suffering from prostate cancer with bone metastases since December 2016.

Steven was born in TaiShan, Guangdong, China and immigrated to Canada in 1949. In his early years he had pursued his education in electronics in California and he also attended military cadet in Canada. Steven married his wife, Kam in 1969 and together they raised three children. He worked many years at EZ Rect Manufacturing Ltd as a machinist. After he retired in 2003, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a handyman that enjoyed fixing everything including electrical, plumbing, and built various projects around the house.

Steven is survived by his wife, Kam, sons William, and Andy, daughter-in-law Janette, daughter Cindy, and grandsons Brandon and Brayden.

We wish to thank the team at BC Cancer Agency for taking such good care of our father for the past few years.
