So Ching Wong gave back to the community, throwing large charity banquets and donating thousands to local hospitals and charities. She was very proud to receive a Diamond Jubilee medal and be recognized for doing what she loved. She received her medal in November 2012 and was recognized by Don Davies (MLP), and Mable Elmore (MLA). This medal was a Diamond Jubilee award given to people of distinction as an outstanding achievement or public service on the Queen’s 60th anniversary.
Deepest gratitude to the medical teams at Vancouver General Hospital, the BC Cancer Agency and her cancer care professional, Dr. Jason Parks. In addition, much thanks to the help from her diabetes team and Dr. Jason Kong. Their care and support over the years has been tremendous.
