So Ching (Yeung) Tang

We solemnly and respectfully announce the passing of our mom So Ching, who passed away peacefully at UBC Hospital and surrounded by three of her daughters. She was predeceased by her beloved parents and loving husband Wai Chung. She is survived by four daughters, Shirley (Rahim), Fanny (Tommy), Monna, and Shiana; four grandchildren, Sara, Kevin, Sabrina, Kristen (Jack); and brother Liang Dong (Pei Hua).

Our mom was a pediatrician and primary care physician in China and she was always compassionate and caring to her patients and their family.

Our mom was deeply loved by all who knew her. We are so grateful and blessed to have had her presence in all of our lives. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister to all the family and will be greatly missed. We will miss her kindness, wisdom, generosity and smile.

We are extremely grateful for the hospital staff at UBC Hospital for their compassionate care of our mom. We will hold a Celebration of Life on Aug 10, 2021 at the Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation in her memory.
