Shui Tsing was born on July 16, 1935 in Canton, China to her late parents Wong Chuan Huan and Gee Mei Gui. She passed away on December 30, 2021 at Arbutus Long Term Care Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Shui Tsing worked as a nurse before she married Keung Bong Lau in Hong Kong in 1956. Later she was able to stay home and take care of her mother-in-law and raise her four children.
In 1987, Shui Tsing and her husband moved to Vancouver, Canada. Her hobby was knitting and she made beautiful sweaters for all her children and grandchildren. She was an active volunteer for the Chinese Meals on Wheels in Vancouver.
Shui Tsing was a loving wife, caring mother, amiable grandmother, gentle and kind sister and aunt with a big generous heart for giving. She will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her older brother Kwong Dai Wong and she leaves behind her beloved husband of 65 years, Keung Bong Lau; children Julia Woo (Nelson), Barbara Tom (Wing), Connie Lau (Kelly), Anthony Lau; grandchildren Philip, Nicholas (Connie), Christian (Iris). She is also survived by her half-brother Kwong Yuen Wong; three nephews, one grand-nephew and one grand-niece.
She accepted Jesus as her Saviour in June 2019 and is now at home with the Lord.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Arbutus for their care of Shui Tsing in her final days.
