Shirley Ann Murphy

Shirley Ann Murphy was born on April 26, 1940 in Chatham, Ontario. She moved to Toronto where she had three daughters: Catherine, and twins Laura and Roxanne. In summer of 1967 the family moved to Vancouver, where Shirley lived for the rest of her life. At this time, nothing made Shirley happier than to sit on the front porch of her house and watch her daughters playing outside. Other than her family, her two greatest joys were her impressive collection of figurine elephants, and Elvis Presley. In 2006 Shirley fulfilled a lifelong dream of travelling to Memphis, Tennessee. Shirley passed away at the old age of 82 years on May 28, 2022. She is survived by her three daughters Catherine Boyd, Laura Anne Murphy, and Roxanne Cheryl Murphy, who live across Canada in Vancouver, London, and Newfoundland, as well as three grandsons Michael, Matthew, and Thomas. She was predeceased by her parents Roland and Kathleen Hackett. Shirley will be missed dearly by her daughters and grandsons. We love you mom. Rest in peace.
