Sharon Marie Benish

Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to the field of education, serving as an office

administrator. Her illustrious career began with the Vancouver School Board, transitioned to

Vancouver Community College (VCC), and culminated at Langara College, where she made

significant contributions over three decades.

A devoted wife, Sharon shared 57 years of love and partnership with her husband, Carl. In the

wake of his serious stroke 20 years ago, she devoted herself to his care, exemplifying

unwavering commitment and love.

Sharon's life was a testament to her values—family, friends, neighbors, and her deep Christian

Lutheran faith were her cornerstones. Her generosity and kindness were immeasurable, touching

the lives of many around her in profound ways.

Her memory will be cherished and she will be deeply missed by her brother Gordon (Diane),

sister Beverly (Dale), nieces Sandra, Kristine, Kimberly, Valerie, and Nancy, as well as her

extended family in British Columbia and Alberta. Sharon's legacy of love, kindness, and

dedication will forever be remembered by all who knew her. A committal service will take place on

March 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Cemetry.
