I just came to know about the passing of Saraj who was such a gentle soul. I got to know Saraj over the years and attended one of his music sessions at a club. I had the opportunity to hear him play which was a joy. I have a few photos of Saraj and his mom in my possession. I know that he will be missed by those who knew him well. My sincere condolences to Hareesh and family on the loss of his brother. May Saraj rest in peace . 

Dear Saraj;  You are a gentle, caring soul who I will miss immensely. I will always have fond memories of playing and listening to music with you as well as jumping hedges, working on electronics, spending time with Amir and many other things. Rest In Peace, my old friend/ Chris.

Saraj was a gifted musician, a natural. I first met him at a jam in Chris Hundley’s Connaught street house. Saraj was a skinny imp but filled the house with his bass with a happy contented grin on his face. 

I only found out Saraj is gone today. Sad news to hear. 

Saraj was a patient, peaceful, & loving man. He had a wonderful sense of humor & always made you feel good when he was around. 
If Saraj was there, the vibe was fun, enjoyable, welcoming & inclusive.
 & if it wasn’t...well, it would be soon enough!
He had that power.
A strength I found hard to understand in our younger days together, but have totally come to appreciate now as I reflect.
I have & always will have very, very fond memories of Saraj.

In our band of misfits, he was witty and classic. A type of person you just don’t come across everyday.
He was a good friend and an even better bassist.
I am forever grateful for the time I was able to spend by his side...rocking!

To Saraj’s family I offer my deepest condolences. I am truly sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts & prayers.

Very sorry to hear of Saraj’s passing.  I had not seen him for many years but had fond memories of him as he often came by the house to visit the family.  You will be missed.

Saraj, playing with you in my first professional band was a very rewarding experience. Our mutual appreciation for Led Zeppelin was something we bonded over and your mellow temperament was often required to balance out my 100mph tornado of a personality. We became friends again for a couple years over a decade after the band had broken up and although we parted on less than favourable terms, I hope you can now see the love and appreciation I have always had and will always have for you buddy. Rest In Peace brother.

I grew up with Saraj. We attended the same elementary and high school.  He was always a kind person.  Accepted everyone as they were.  This is sad news to hear of his passing.  My condolences to his family.  He will be missed!

I was at school with Saraj from Kindergarten to Grade 12, and we were neighbours, living just a block apart. Although we were not always close friends, I have fond memories of him from those times.   My deepest condolences to his family, sending them love and light

I remember Saraj from Southlands Elementary years ago. He was always a nice guy. Condolences to his family. 

Saraj was a dear friend and musical collaborator. Saraj and I co-founded my first West Coast band FREELOADER back in 94. Saraj was a super-talented bass player and musician and I will miss him very much. He was a charming guy with a great sense of humor and that's how I will always remember him. Godspeed Man!

It was lots of fun growing up with Saraj. I became friends with Saraj in high school. Saraj was self taught on guitar and played in local bands. I remember playing music for hours over the years with Saraj.  

Those were some great memories Saraj. RIP my brother.

Forgive us my friend for not being there for you during your darkest times, the memories that we all share having spent time together with you in this realm will never be forgotten, may Creator embrace you with love and light and welcome you back home, until we meet again.
And one more thing Raj if you can? Start showing ‘Jimmy’ the riff to “Geraldine”, so when I get there, we can Jam the song straight through.
