Robert Allan Wilson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and friends, on October 8th, 2021, following a long battle with cancer. He was 66. He is survived by his loving husband of 30 years, France; his loyal companion, Tanner; his brother Bill (Ann), his brother Brian (Carol), and his sister Brenda, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grand nephews.
He is predeceased by his father Lloyd, his mother Joan, and his brother Brad.
Robert was born in Smithers BC, and lived on a small farm near Houston BC until he was 18 years old. His travels took him around the world, arriving back on the west coast 5 years later.
He spent most of his life in the Vancouver area.
He loved to garden and living in his home in Burkeville allowed him the pleasure of growing and tending to many different plants, flowers, and vegetables.
For his volunteer work, Robert received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. In 2019, he received the CLF 50th Anniversary Medal recognizing his work.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
He will be missed.
