Maria Liakos

February 8,1939-December 15,2022

Maria(nee Stavrou) was born in Paliouri, Ioannina,Greece to Dimitrios and Panayiota on February 8,1939.She married her husband Christodoulos in 1961 and later immigrated to Canada.

She is survived by her beloved children Angela(Kostas),Stavros(Leanne)and her grandchildren Eleftheria, Christodoulos,Thomas, and Maria.She is also survived by her sister Xanthi and many relatives in Greece.

Maria is now reunited with her husband Christodoulos and will be sadly missed by many who knew her.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Blenheim Lodge for all their compassionate care and attention.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, at 11am at St.George Orthodox

Cathedral,4500 Arbutus St. Vancouver. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue in Burnaby,BC.
