He worked at Ocean Fisheries as a building service worker, until he retired at the age of 65. During his spare time and into his retirement, John volunteered in many community organizations. He also served as a member in the Kong Chow Benevolent Association, the Sardui News and the Woo’s Association.
John is survived by his large extended family:

A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 E Hastings St, Vancouver.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday October 17th 2024 at 8:00 am, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby at 10:00 am.
