Kon Kiong Chang

He is survived by his two older Sisters, his daughters Amy and Sonia, granddaughter Selena and Grandsons Brian and Allan. Although Kon’s and Mie’s love for each other did not last, Mie was a part of 40+ years of his life.

Mr. Chang was born and raised by his sisters in Sabah, Malaysia.

He was predeceased by his Father at one year of age and Mother at 14 years of age.

He was a Hairdresser since the age of 18 and continued till just before he left this earth.

He was the most amazing Father to his daughters and only knew to love them. He cared for them when they were neglected and was always there to understand and protect them. That was how he lived.

His love will be cherished and carried on by those left behind.

He is of tremendous loss to his family and all those that had the opportunity to meet him.

The Celebration of life service and reception for him will be held on June the 26th, 2023 from noon till 4pm at the Celebration Hall and Courtyard, located in Mountain View Cemetery, 5445 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5W 2Z3.

His remains will be taken to Bosuns Marina in Sidney, Victoria BC on July the 7th at noon with a private boat charter for a water burial as per his wishes.
