LIM, Ken Kok Quan of Vancouver, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Vancouver General Hospital. He was born July 31, 1931 in Toi Shan, China and immigrated to Vancouver in 1954. He married May in 1961 and together they built a successful business, a thriving family, gained a large cadre of friends and contributed generously to their community, Ken was an ardent supporter and a long-serving president of the Lim Sai Hor Kow Mock Benevolent Association where he established many firsts, including the creation of a University Scholarship in 1980. Ken was happily married to May for over 40 years, who predeceased him in 2002. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Jessica. Ken is survived by his sons Harvey(May) and Peter (Katie), grandchildren Christopher, Catherine, Sarah, Daniel, Michelle and Kevin; and his second wife Tammy. A viewing will be held at Glenhaven Chapel 1835 East Hastings, Vancouver 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013. The funeral service will be at Glenhaven Chapel Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park 3789 Royal Oak, Burnaby at 11:30 a.m.
