After a difficult year of health issues, Kathy passed away in Vancouver General Hospital on October 2nd, 2024, surrounded by friends and caregivers.
Kathy was born in Victoria BC on April 14, 1956 to Beverley and Warren Taylor. She was the oldest child and has three younger brothers, Ron, Rick and Mike. For part of her childhood, she lived with her aunt and uncle and then lived at Woodlands School in New Westminster until 1988.
For the past 37 years, Kathy has lived in South Vancouver and enjoyed the fellowship of activities and volunteer work at the South Vancouver Neighbourhood House and the Collingwood Neighbourhood House. She worked in the food bank and clothing donations areas and enjoyed the bingo mornings and community lunches.
A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, November 15th at 1:30pm at the Collingwood Neighbourhood House at 5288 Joyce Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Spectrum Society for Community Living or the Collingwood Neighbourhood House would be appreciated.
