Karl was born on February 25, 1935 in Andeernach, Germany. He passed away on February 26, 2016 in Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 81.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Monica (Jim); son Michael (Rhonda); grandchildren Nicole, Branden, and Claudia; brother Dieter and extended family in Canada and Germany.
