Our condolences to all of Julie's children, grandchildren & siblings; although Julie had prepared herself and tried to convey that - that doesn't make it any easier. Our hearts feel loss and sadness, and our minds know it was time.  A lot of people will be sharing Julie's life as they recall it; always know that the best job I see her accomplish was her family you are all a part of her and that shines through. Love & prayers to Auntie's family!  She will be missed by many!  Her many occomplishmests as one of Squamish Nation's elected officials for 12 years are amazing!  Her love of her family, friends, Nation & culture is commendable!  Auntie is now reunited with uncle Jerry, her Mom & Das and her loved ones...we ate blessed for have known her!  RIP Auntie Julie! I am very saddened to hear about Julie's passing. As a lawyer at Ratcliff and Company, I had the privilege to work with Julie on a number of matters during her time as a member of the Squamish Nation Council.  On every one of those occasions, I was struck by Julie's deep commitment to the well-being of her fellow Squamish members and particularly to equality and advancement of Squamish women.  She always approached her work with the highest ethical standards and expected no less of others.  Through it all, she never failed to give a friendly greeting.  She treated all those with whom she dealt with a level of dignity and respect that made a person feel important and valued in any interaction with her.  I believe Julie will be remembered as one of the great leaders of the Squamish Nation.  Her contribution to the Nation is immense, from promoting equal treatment for women after the adoption of Bill C-35, to her work in developing the Membership Code as an act of self-government for all Squamish, to each one of her efforts to make life better for Squamish people.  Her memory will serve as an example and a role model for Squamish youth for many years.  I will miss Julie very much and I give my deepest condolences to the family.
