Jean Ngan Lim 黃銀貞

Jean was born in Canton, China and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s. She attended English (ESL) school in Vancouver’s Chinatown where she met her sweetheart John Lim. They married in October 1953 and had 4 children. She worked as a seamstress up until 1982 and then devoted the next 20 years to care for her 8 grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride, joy and loves of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lim and son, Ron Lim.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her children: Doris (Stuart) Ellis-Myers, Anna (Peter) Lui and Sandy Lim, Ed Lim; grandchildren: Alicia (Duncan) Kok, Jonathan (Irene Ma) Moi, Samantha (Simon Luong) Lim, Daniel (Wendy Hon) Moi, Brendon (Julie Minarto) Lui, Thomas (Zara) Lim, Natalie (Lloyd Taganahan) Lim, Sara Lim and great-grandchildren: Hayden & Ellie Kok, Leona & Stella Luong, and Maximus Moi.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Jean Ngan Lim to be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Royal Columbia Hospital Foundation who took great care of her over the years.

Visitation will be held on September 10, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. Funeral Service will be held on September 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel. Graveside Service will be held on September 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia. The Glenhaven Funeral Home will webcast the funeral ceremony of Jean Ngan LIM on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 11:45 AM PDT to 1:15 PM PDT.
