He is survived by his daughter, Laura, loving companion Madelyn and nieces and nephews in Scotland and Australia. James was a Master Mariner. His first sea voyage was in 1934 to Vancouver. He decided then that he would make Vancouver his home. He was a long time member of the Vancouver Gaelic Society and Mod Vancouver. Jimmy and his "hammer" will be greatly missed. We thank the Palliative Care Team at VGH for their extraordinary care and compassion. In lieu of flowers a donation to the BC Cancer Agency would be greatly appreciated.
