Irene Gertrude Kennedy

KENNEDY, (Doucet), Irene Gertrude, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2016, at age 89, in Vancouver, B.C. Predeceased by her husband James, brothers: Brother Benedict of St. John of God Order (Brian Doucet), Ron Doucet, sister Helena (Ena) (Doucet) Bent , sister-in-law Rita (Kennedy) Sully. Irene will be loving remembered by her children Tony, Mary, Michael, George, Andrew and Nancy as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sister Teresa (Bip) and many wonderful friends on both the East Coast and West Coast. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales, 6610 Balmoral St., Burnaby, B.C. A Funeral Mass will also be held at St. Peter’s Church in Saint John, N.B. at a later date. In lieu of floral arrangements friends wishing so may make a memorial donation to: Abbeyfield Houses of Vancouver Society, 1275 West 67th Ave. Vancouver, B.C., V6P 2T1, where Irene happily lived for the last two years, or to donor’s charity of choice.
