Ian Alexander Kovacich

Surrounded by his loving family, at the Vancouver General Hospital, on Monday December 2, 2024 at the age of fifty. Loved and missed by his wife Aldena kovacich (White), his children; Jersey, Alexa, Cameron, and Joshua. His parents; Alex and Jane Ann Kovacich, and his brother Geoffrey and his fiancée Nancy. He Will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers. Ian was a twenty year employee of H – S Tool & Parts Inc., Richmond BC. Diagnosed in June 2018, he fought tenaciously against his opponent, facing numerous surgeries, bouts of chemotherapy and radiation. He maintained his positive attitude and fighting spirit until the end. Ian was active, hiking the Grouse Grind and riding his bike everywhere. He loved to cook and always encourraged to clean as you go. Ian loved to wear his many band shirts. A lover of music, especially his beloved Beatles. Ian was a family man, a hard worker, a son, a brother, a friend. Ian, we’re proud of the battle you waged, We love you, xoxoxo, Rest in Peace. The family would like to thank Dr. Sharlene Gill, Ian’s Oncologist since his diagnosis, for her care and compassion, his family doctor Dr. Cindy Chang, The Doctors, Nurses and staff at BC Cancer Agency and Vancouver General Hospital for treating Ian with care and dignity.
