Dear Barbara, Trish, Tracey, Jeff & family, 

I am extremely saddened and shocked to hear of Henry's passing. I remember him as such a gentle soul, always ready with a kind word and a smile .

When I started my first office job in Vancouver, Henry's office building was a block away from mine and we used to bump into each other during lunch time. 

Sending you much love and big hugs as you mourn his passing and celebrate his wonderful life. He has left a beautiful legacy in all of you.

Condolences to Henry’s family 
Henry and I worked together in the engineering dept. at Westcoast  for many years. He not only was a very good engineer but a great guy.

So sad to hear of Henry's passing. He was a key member of Westcoast's System Planning team  and knew everything about the Westcoast pipelines capacities. I worked with him on several major expansion projects and his input was invaluable. He was a true gentleman and was always a real asset to the business development team.  It's been a few years now, but I'll always remember Henry as a truly nice guy and a supremely capable engineer.

I worked with Henry in Westcoast Energy  from 1992 - 1997. I’ll always remember Henry as a patient, thoughtful and very knowledgeable peer and always enjoyed his well reasoned contributions to our collective efforts through Engineering and Customer Services Marketing. My sincere condolences to his family. He’ll be greatly missed by the many in this world that had the privilege of knowing him.

I still can't believe that you are already left .....

It's so painful knowing that I truly lost one of my greatest mentors. 

Everything is still like yesterday that you were smiling and talking in your always gentle, peaceful and cheerful voice about your favorite spreadsheet, tablet, stocks,  your overnight adventure to Japan, train trip through the Rocky mountains,  your beautiful photos, your Christmas dinners, cute grand-daughters,  excellent sons and daughters, you and Barbara's cruise trips and future cruise trips...

I am very fortunate of knowing you, working with you and being one your students at work. You are such a great person who gives  wise advices, shares humor, makes people feel comfortable, respected...

Have a peaceful rest.
 

Very sad news; my sincere condolences to Henry's family.

Henry always added a warm spark to our work.  We worked together at Westcoast from 1980 to 1994 and then again recently in Calgary.

We had many philosophical discussions about the good old days and the brave new world.

I truly believe that we carry that special spark with us of those that have departed this world before us.

He will be missed.

Over 13 years ago, you were introduced to me ”this is Henry, he will be your boss for the next 1 month because I am going for surgery”.
You welcomed me with a warm smile that indicated ”don’t be scared, you are in a safe hand”.
You were a great mentor, very smart and patient.
You took life so simple and always very humble despite your high level of professional experience.
What else can someone ask for in a mentor?
Indeed, you have lived a life worthy of emulating and I am happy I had the opportunity to work with you.

I'm having a hard time coming to grips with your passing.  But as I pause and reflect on my memories, I'm reminded of how you helped and guided me along one of the lowest points in my career, your thoughtful and wise advice every time I extended my hands out, how much of a wonderful mentor you were to me, but most of all how fortunate I am to have my path cross with yours.

My dearest office "Grandpa", I did not know it would be the last hug I gave you the last time you were in Calgary but I am so glad I did not hold back!
I will always remember your advice, our several chats about life, raising kids in this environment and work. 
We had really good laughs about the "mini coopers", the grand dog and finally Sadie's arrival!!
You lived such a humble and simple life! I will miss you so much Grandpa.
