We would like to say goodbye to our dear dad, granddad (Kung Kung), great granddad (Tai Kung Kung), brother, uncle, and friend who passed away on June 11, 2022, in Vancouver, BC, at the age of 92. Henry lived a long and happy life, so there are many causes for celebration in his honour. He led a fulfilling career as a physiotherapist and was well loved by patients and colleagues. He always sought pleasure with many simple things, especially in the later stages of life. He enjoyed pursuing woodworking projects (some successful, some not as much!), photo projects, watching a good football game with a big bowl of ice cream, having a nice hearty breakfast with eggs and sausages, going fishing, attending luncheons with buddies, yakking with local vendors. He was abundantly loved by family, friends, and colleagues.
His priority has always been spending time with his wife, daughters, and scheming plans with his grandsons and great grandson, to spoil them with treats. He was especially attached to his siblings, and proud of his roots. He was most happy during family gatherings bathed with family members giving him dear love and attention.
Henry was preceded by his loving wife Clara. He is survived by his two loving daughters Henrietta (Steven Jablon), Sonya (Garman Fong), grandsons ( Ian and Alek), granddaughter (Nina) and great grandson (Colton). We celebrate the full life he lived, and the legacy to love lots and be happy.
The family is planning a celebration of life in Vancouver, please contact them for further information.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to make a donation to their favorite charity in Henry's name.
A PRIVATE viewing for Henry will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Vancouver Crematorium, 5505 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC V5W2Z3, followed by a witness from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
