Gerald Todd Morrison

May 22, 1963-April 27th, 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Morrison who passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver BC.

Gerald was from Kitamaat Village BC. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Esther and Jerry Morrison, his brothers, Ronnie and Barry.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Charles Morrison, Deborah Hayward, Carol August, Lorraine Brazeau, Robert Morrison and Dennis Morrison, his nieces and nephews, grand nephews and nieces, plus many relatives in Kitamaat Village BC.

In Gerald’s earlier years he was employed in Landscaping, carpentry, demolishing, painting.

His passion included soap stone carving, cycling, hiking. He enjoyed his out door adventures of Hunting, fishing with his Westholme friends.

The Morrison family would like to extend thanks to the many people at St. Paul’s Hospital who were involved with the care of Gerald, his doctors, the heart specialists, neurology dept, and nursing staff at the two ICU departments who all showed a tremendous amount of care and respect for Gerald.

Thank you to the support workers, and the Indigenous Wellness Liaison who assisted with Gerald’s daily interactions with family.

Due to covid restrictions, the family is holding a small ceremony with his immediate family, in Vancouver BC. He is remembered by many from Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Kitimat BC.
