Derek Adrian Wright

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Derek Adrian Wright of Port Moody, BC. Derek left us far too soon and will be lovingly remembered by his mother Natalie, father Bruce, stepmother Brenda, brother Kyle, sister-in-law Cheryl, nieces Chelsea and Amber, nephew Pierce, Aunts Pat and Diane, Uncle Brett and cousins Tara, Kiefer, Brett, Shaun and Bryan, as well as extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his Uncle Keith Wright in 2018. Derek was born in Vancouver and grew up a proud East Van kid. When he wasn’t working on a construction site, he enjoyed camping, good food, cheering on the BC Lions and spending time with family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 2:30 PM at St. Mary’s Parish, 5251 Joyce St, Vancouver. Derek was always sensitive to those less fortunate, and in memory of his kind heart, donations to Covenant House in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
