Dena Shigeko Tanaka

Dena Shigeko Tanaka was born on August 7, 1938 in Steveston, British Columbia and passed away on February 21, 2023 in Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 84 years. Dena is survived by daughters Kimi and Kelly. She is predeceased by her husband Keiichi. Dena was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Over the years, she worked in various fields such as health care and hospitality, and during her time working for the Vancouver Canucks, was Employee of the Year twice and touched the Stanley Cup. Most recently, Dena enjoyed engaging in an Adult Day Program where she met new friends and took part in various activities. She also loved cats, shopping, jewellery, Chinese food, cake, hockey, word jumbles, game apps, Grogu (Baby Yoda), and music by Elvis Presley, Randy Travis, and Charley Pride. Dena will be dearly missed by her family, relatives and friends. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Tanaka family.
