David Erwin Alder

David Erwin Alder, born May 1, 1945 passed away at Burnaby General April 16, 2016. Left to mourn and missing him every minute, his loving wife of 42 years, Lynne. Predeceased by his son; Michael. Survived by his brother, Doug (Diane); nephew Justin and family; other close relatives and many dear friends. Love to Wally. Special thanks to the homecare nurses who cared for Dave. Dave had a long career at HSBC and excelled at this work. He was a natural comedian and had a quip or a joke, often cheeky, for everyone. Dave enjoyed the sports page, talking about and watching all the games. He had a great memory and knew all the stats. He was a patient gardener and his harvest of veggies was bountiful.

Dave was a loving, caring, thoughtful, generous man and a good friend to all. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 602 Kingsway Vancouver. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
