He was born on March 31, 1933, in Valdagno, Vicenza, Italy to Angelo and Maria (Cailotto) Dal Brun.
In his youth he apprenticed throughout Europe to become a prototype machinist. He came to Canada in 1965, where he continued to hone his trade. His drive for perfection culminated to his great accomplishment in the manufacturing of components for the TRIUMF cyclotron at UBC, while with Devoron Engineering.
An accomplished hunter, fisherman and trap shooter. He was an avid gardener and skier. As well he was the founding president of the Vicentini Society of BC in 1976.
Upon retirement he and Olga enjoyed traveling to Mexico, Cuba, Alaska and the Panama Canal. He survived his 1st heart attack at the age of 65 and continued to live a full life for another 20 years. In his final years he devoted his time to the care of his beloved wife.
He is survived by his wife Olga, daughter Mara (Keith) and granddaughter Grace Mattson, sisters Clara, Imeria, Annalisa and Ivanna and their spouses, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Francesco.
