Barbara passed away at Vancouver General Hospital after being admitted for emergency heart surgery. Besides her loving husband, Krzysztof, Barbara was predeceased by her sister Beata and her brother Wlodek, and leaves behind her niece, Kristina, and her grand-nephew Henry, as well as her many friends around the world.
Together with Krzysztof, Barbara lived in many different places over the years, including Poland, Nigeria, Denmark and finally Canada, where they made their home and spent the last 3 decades of their lives. Until her retirement, Barbara was a teacher, respected and admired by her students, at the Blessed Sacrament School.
Barbara is remembered as the most kind and loving person and will be dearly missed.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Barbara's life at a visitation at Mt Pleasant Funeral Home, Wednesday February 26, 5-7 pm and a funeral service the following day, February 27, at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC & Yukon Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
